Residential/Commercial Asphalt Roofing
We start by completely tearing off existing shingles and underlayment to reveal the wood decking underneath. Decking is fully inspected for rot or damage. All rotten or damaged wood is replaced. Six feet of ice and water barrier are
installed on all edges and valleys of the roof. Synthetic felt is laid to cover the remainder of the roof. Aluminum drip edge is installed on perimeter of the roof. Dimensional asphalt shingles to be installed using starter strips, appropriate nails, and cap are used. Aluminum step flashing to be installed on all sidewalls.
Chimneys to be counter flashed and sealed waterproof. Ventilation options include gooseneck bathroom/kitchen vents, bird proof vents, solar vent, ridge vent, and smart vent. All roof protrusions are ice and watered and appropriate roofing boots are installed. Final inspection is done once the roof is complete.
Our company uses a motorized dumpster (Equipter) to assist with loading and dumping of debris. Leach Construction uses a mobile F-550 dump truck for storage and removal of roofing debris. Many of our jobs do not require a stationary dumpster in the driveway. Available roofing options include asphalt,
rolled, rubber and metal.
EPDM Rubber Flat Roofing
We start by removing the existing flat roof including any fiberboard/isoboard. Decking is fully inspected for rot or damage. All rotten or damaged wood is replaced. All new underlayment (fiberboard or isoboard) will be installed using appropriate fasteners. EPDM adhesive is then applied to the EPDM rubber
membrane, fiberboard and/or isoboard. Next the EPDM rubber is rolled out and adhered to the fiberboard or isoboard. Prime all seams and install EPDM seam tape. All seams are rolled out to confirm adhesion. Flashing to be installed on all protrusions. EPDM rubber is rolled up all sidewalls and chimneys. The rubber is secured to sidewalls and chimneys using metal termination bars. Final
inspection is done once the roof is complete. Our company uses a motorized dumpster (Equipter) to assist with loading and dumping of debris.
